Lisa MacDonald is a contemporary painter and visual artist based in Jersey, Channel Islands. She creates original acrylic paintings inspired by landscape, memory, emotion, family life and the natural world. Her work is exhibited across Jersey and collected by private buyers.

Lisa is a visual artist creating illustrative paintings around the themes of safety and insecurity, hopefulness and disappointment. Whilst Lisa uses a variety of mediums, primarily she works with acrylic on canvas. Lisa's work explores what it means to shore oneself up, excavating harsh truths about who or what we need and how to find calm amidst chaos, in one way or another.
Often her paintings reference nature, story, home and family life in a jumbled attempt to question the constant search for comfort both in our bodies and our environments. They are borne from the artist's own struggle with what it means to feel ok in a body that is often in pain and in a landscapes which promises hope just a little further down the path…
Asa contemporary artist, Lisa is always interested in what is happening in the world around her and paints hopefully about surviving struggle of all kinds.
